# The BBC World Service Transfer Scheme (Capital Allowances) Order 1997, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 16th April 1997
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 135 of, and paragraphs 1, 14, 15, 17 and 28 of Schedule 7 to, the Broadcasting Act 1996, after consultation with the BBC and with the consent of the Treasury, hereby makes the following Order:
