# Beef (Emergency Control) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 1996, Article 2: Amendment of the Beef (Emergency Control) Order (Northern Ireland) 1996

The Beef (Emergency Control) Order (Northern Ireland) 1996 shall be amended by—
(a) inserting after Article 2(2), the following paragraph—
“(3) The provision in paragraph (1) shall not apply to meat from a bovine animal that was born, reared and slaughtered in any of the countries specified in the Schedule.”;
(b) at the end inserting the following Schedule—
“SCHEDULE
Countries Exempted from Article 2(1)
Article 2(3)
Argentina
Australia
Botswana
Brazil
Mauritius
Namibia
New Zealand
Paraguay
Poland
South Africa
Swaziland
Uruguay
United States of America
Zimbabwe”.
