# The Blackburn with Darwen (Maintained Nursery School Governance) (Amendment) Order 2007, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order is made under sections 2 and 3 of the Education Act 2002, to amend the Blackburn with Darwen (Maintained Nursery School Governance) Order 2004. Article 2 extends the period for which the Council of Borough of Blackburn with Darwen is exempt from the requirement in Part 3 of that Act to constitute a governing body for seven of its nine maintained nursery schools, for a further two years.
