# The Blackburn with Darwen (Maintained Nursery School Governance) Order 2004, Article 2: Exemption


The following provisions shall not, in respect of the nursery schools, apply to the authority:
(a) section 19(1) of the Act (requirement for maintained schools to have a governing body), and
(b) section 20(1) of the Act (requirement for maintained schools to have an instrument of government).
