# The Bluetongue (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2008, Introduction: Introductory text

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of and paragraph 1A of Schedule 2 to the European Communities Act 1972 and Articles 5(1), 10(6), 12(1), 14, 19, 20, 44, 46(7A) and 60(1) of the Diseases of Animals (Northern Ireland) Order 1981.
