  "text": "(1) Section 17 (variation of orders) is amended as follows.\n(2) In subsections (1) to (2), after “serious crime prevention order” insert “or an interim serious crime prevention order”.\n(3) In subsection (3), for “an order” substitute “a serious crime prevention order”.\n(4) After that subsection insert—\n“(3A) An application for the variation of an interim serious crime prevention order under this section may be made by—\n(a) the relevant applicant authority (but see subsection (7A)),\n(b) the person who is the subject of the order, or\n(c) subject as follows, any other person.”\n(5) In subsection (4), for “The” substitute “In the case of an application for the variation of a serious crime prevention order, the”.\n(6) In subsections (5) to (7), after “(3)(b)(ii)” insert “or (3A)(c)”.\n(7) In subsection (8)—\n(a) after “(3)(a)” insert “or (3A)(a)”;\n(b) for “and (4)(b)” substitute “, (4)(b) and (4A)(b)”.\n(8) After subsection (9) (as inserted by section 55(3)) insert—\n“(10) In this section “relevant applicant authority”, in relation to an interim serious crime prevention order, means—\n(a) where the order was applied for by the chief officer of police of a police force in England and Wales, the chief officer of police of any such police force;\n(b) in any other case, the person who applied for the order.”",
