# The Borough of Oldham (Electoral Changes) (Amendment) Order 2005

This Order substitutes a new map for that originally referred to in the Borough of Oldham (Electoral Changes) Order 2004, in order to give full effect to recommendations by the Boundary Committee for England, a committee of the Electoral Commission, for electoral changes in the borough of Oldham.

## Introductory text

LOCAL GOVERNMENT, ENGLAND
Made 29th September 2005
Coming into force in accordance with article 1(2)
The Electoral Commission, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by sections 17 and 26 of the Local Government Act 1992, hereby make the following Order:

## 1 Citation and commencement

(1) This Order may be cited as the Borough of Oldham (Electoral Changes) (Amendment) Order 2005.
(2) This Order shall come into force on the day after that on which it is made.

## 2 Amendment to the 2004 Order

(1) The Borough of Oldham (Electoral Changes) Order 2004 shall be amended as follows:
(2) In article 2 “any reference to the map is a reference to the map marked “Revised (2005) Map referred to in the Borough of Oldham (Electoral Changes) Order 2004”, of which prints are available” shall be substituted for the words from “any reference to the map” to “of which prints are available”.
(3) In article 6 “the map marked “Revised (2005) Map referred to in the Borough of Oldham (Electoral Changes) Order 2004” available for inspection” shall be substituted for the words from “the map marked” to “available for inspection”.

This Order substitutes a new map for that originally referred to in the Borough of Oldham (Electoral Changes) Order 2004, in order to give full effect to recommendations by the Boundary Committee for England, a committee of the Electoral Commission, for electoral changes in the borough of Oldham.
Prints of the map may be inspected at all reasonable times at the offices of Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council and at the principal office of the Electoral Commission at Trevelyan House, Great Peter Street, London SW1P 2HW or may be viewed on the Boundary Committee for England’s website at www.boundarycommittee.org.uk/your-area/oldham.cfm.
