# The Boston Barrier Order 2017, Article 51: Emergency powers and consents

Extent: E+W

The Agency’s powers under articles 47 (removal of vessels) and 49 (removal of obstructions other than vessels) may be exercised by the Agency in an emergency without prior notice to the Harbour Authority provided that the Harbour Authority is informed of the action as soon as possible afterwards.
