# The Bretton Hall Higher Education Corporation (Dissolution) Order 2001, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 4th April 2001
Coming into force 1st August 2001
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 128(1), (2) and (6) of the Education Reform Act 1988 the Secretary of State for Education and Employment, after consultation with Bretton Hall higher education corporation and the Higher Education Funding Council for England in accordance with subsection (4) of the said section 128 and with the consent of the University of Leeds given in accordance with subsection (2) of that section, hereby makes the following Order:—
