# The Bribery Act 2010 (Commencement) Order 2011, Introduction: Introductory text

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 19(1) of the Bribery Act 2010. Before doing so, in accordance with section 19(4) of that Act, the Secretary of State has consulted the Scottish Ministers.
