  "long_title": "Under section 55(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 (“the 1972 Act”) a county or county borough council in Wales may make recommendations to the Local Government Boundary Commission for Wales (“the Commission”) in relation to the abolition or alteration of communities in their area. The Commission may, in consequence, make to the National Assembly for Wales such proposals as appear desirable in the interests of effective and convenient local government in accordance with sections 54(1) and 58(1) of the 1972 Act. The National Assembly for Wales may give effect to any such proposals under section 58(2) of the 1972 Act.",
