# The British Citizenship (Designated Service) (Amendment) Order 1990, Introduction: Introductory text


BRITISH NATIONALITY
Made 9th January 1990
Laid before Parliament 18th January 1990
Coming into force 16th February 1990
Whereas I consider service under the European Patent Office to be closely associated with the activities outside the United Kingdom of Her Majesty’s Government in the United Kingdom;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 2(3) of the British Nationality Act 1981, I hereby make the following Order:
