# The British Gas Corporation (Dissolution) Order 1990, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 1st February 1990
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 57(2) of the Gas Act 1986and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after consulting the British Gas Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “the Corporation”) and its successor company, British Gas public imited company, and being satisfied that nothing further remains to be done by the Corporation under Schedule 8 to the said Act, hereby makes the following Order:—
