# The British Museum (Authorised Repositories) Order 2021, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 20th April 2021
Laid before Parliament 4th May 2021
Coming into force 1st June 2021
The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10(2) of the British Museum Act 1963 and now vested in the Secretary of State, with the agreement of the Trustees of the British Museum.
