Regulation 2

The British Nationality (Fees) Regulations 1996^f1 shall be amended as follows:

(a)

in regulation 2(1) there shall be added, at the end, “or, as the case may be, under the British Nationality (Hong Kong) Act 1997”;

(b)

in regulation 3(1) after “below”, there shall be inserted “or where the Secretary of State otherwise directs,”;

(c)

in the Schedule—

(i)

in the entry numbered 5 for “or any of the former nationality Acts” there shall be substituted “, any of the former nationality Acts or the British Nationality (Hong Kong) Act 1997”, and

(ii)

after the entry numbered 6 there shall be added—

“

Application for registration as a citizen under section 1 of the British Nationality (Hong Kong) Act 1997.
