  "text": "(This note is not part of the Regulations)\nThese Regulations amend the British Nationality (Hong Kong) Regulations 1986.\nRegulations 8 to 10 make provision in respect of deprivation of the status of British National (Overseas). As a result of the changes introduced to deprivation of citizenship by section 4 of the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 (c. 41), the British Nationality (General) Regulations 2003 now make sole provision for the giving of notice where it is proposed to deprive a person of a citizenship status.",
