# The British Wool (Guaranteed Prices) (Revocation) Order 1993, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order revokes the British Wool (Guaranteed Prices) Order 1955, S.I. 1955/487, as amended by S.I. 1976/602, which provided for the payment to wool producers of guaranteed prices for wool under the Agriculture Act 1957. Article 2(2) of the Order provides that S.I. 1955/487 and 1976/602 remain in force in relation to any period before the date on which they were revoked.
