# The Broadcasting (Channel 3 Transmission and Shared Distribution Costs) Order 1996, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order extends by six years the period during which all Channel 3 services must be broadcast by a single person, which is also that during which all Channel 3 licensees must share the distribution costs of those services in such manner as may be approved by the Secretary of State.
