Explanatory note

This Order corrects two errors made in the Broadcasting (Local Delivery Services) Order 1990 (S.I. 1990/2389). Article 2replaces the definition of “DBS service” so as to refer to the provision of such a service by the Independent Television Commission under the transitional provisions in Schedule 11 to the Broadcasting Act 1990 instead of a definition which relied on repealed provisions in the Cable and Broadcasting Act 1984 (c. 46). Article 2(b) omits the word “local” which is superfluous to the reference in paragraph 2(f) of Part II of the Schedule to the 1990 Order to any national radio service.
