  "text": "In this Part of this Schedule—\n“the appointed day” means the appointed day fixed for the purposes of section 40 (application of requirements of 1907 Act) of this Act;\n“licence” means a licence granted under section 94 of the 1907 Act;\n“local authority” means any local authority from which functions are transferred to the Authority under section 40.",
