  "text": "(This note is not part of the Regulations)\nThese Regulations amend the Building (Local Authority Charges) Regulations 2010 (as they apply in relation to Wales) to further implement the Building Safety Act 2022 in respect of higher-risk buildings, to enable local authorities to make charges in relation to certain applications made under the Building (Higher-Risk Buildings Procedures) (Wales) Regulations 2025. These Regulations also amend the following Regulations to correct minor and technical errors:\nThe Building (Local Authority Charges) Regulations 2010 (as they apply in relation to Wales);\nThe Building Regulations 2010 (as they apply in relation to Wales);\nThe Building (Restricted Activities and Functions) (Wales) Regulations 2024;\nThe Building (Registered Building Control Approvers etc.) (Wales) Regulations 2024;\nThe Building etc. (Amendment) (No. 2) (Wales) Regulations 2025;\nThe Building (Higher-Risk Buildings Procedures) (Wales) Regulations 2025.\nThe Welsh Ministers’ Code of Practice on the carrying out of Regulatory Impact Assessments was considered in relation to these Regulations. As a result, a regulatory impact assessment has been prepared as to the likely costs and benefits of complying with these Regulations. A copy can be obtained from the Welsh Government, Cathays Park, Cardiff CF10 3NQ and is published on www.gov.wales.",
