  "heading": "Application of building regulations and the Building Act 1984 to Inner London",
  "text": "(1) The Building Regulations 1985, the Building (Approved Inspectors etc.) Regulations 1985 and the Building (Prescribed Fees etc.) Regulations 1985 shall apply in inner London.\n(2) Those regulations shall be amended as provided in Schedule 2.\n(3) The following provisions of the Building Act 1984 are prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 2(1) of Schedule 3 to that Act and apply in relation to the Greater London Council as they apply to a local authority outside inner London—\nsection 8 (relaxation of building regulations);\nsection 9 (application for relaxation);\nsection 10 (advertisement of proposal for relaxation of building regulations);\nsection 16 (passing or rejection of plans);\nsection 32 (lapse of deposit of plans);\nsection 36 (removal or alteration of offending work);\nsection 37 (obtaining of report where section 36 notice given);\nsection 39 (appeal against refusal etc. to relax building regulations);\nsection 40 (appeal against section 36 notice).",
