  "text": "After Article 3 of the principal Order insert—\n“Protected buildings\n3A (1) In carrying out any of its functions under building regulations a district council shall take account of the desirability of preserving the character of protected buildings.\n(2) In this Article “protected buildings” means—\n(a) listed buildings within the meaning of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991; and\n(b) buildings situated in conservation areas within the meaning of that Order.”.",
