# The Building Regulations &c. (Amendment) Regulations 2013, Introduction: Introductory text

This Statutory Instrument has been made in consequence of defects in S.I. 2012/3118 and S.I. 2012/3119 and is being issued free of charge to all known recipients of those Statutory Instruments.

The Secretary of State is a Minister designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to measures relating to the environment.
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 and sections 1, 2A, 16(9) and (10), 17(1) and (6), 34, 47(1) to (5), 49(5), 50(1), (4) and (6), 51(1) and (2), 51A(2), (3) and (6) and 56(1) and (2) of, and paragraphs 1, 2, 4, 4A, 7, 8 and 10 of Schedule 1 to, the Building Act 1984, makes the following Regulations:
