These Regulations are the second commencement regulations made under the Building Safety Act 2022 (c. 30) (“the Act”).

Regulation 2 brings into force sections 126 to 129 of the Act on 1st September 2022. The effect is to commence the powers relating to a scheme for developers and the prohibitions on developing land and building control which may be imposed on persons, including on persons who are eligible to be a member of a scheme established under section 126 but who are not members.
