These Regulations amend the Building (Scotland) Regulations 2004 (the “2004 Regulations”) and come into force on 1 January 2025.

Regulation 2 amends standard 6.11 of schedule 5 of the 2004 Regulations. The amendments introduce additional limitations to standard 6.11 so that it does not apply to heating which is designed to use bioenergy, biomass or peat as fuel or to secondary heating systems.
