# The Building Societies Act 1997 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1997, Article 2: Coming into force of provisions


The following provisions of the Building Societies Act 1997 shall come into force on 21st May 1997, namely, paragraph 1 of Schedule 8 and section 46 so far as it relates to that paragraph.
