# The Building Societies (Commercial Assets) Order 1995, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 7th April 1995
The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 19(1), (2), (3), (5) and (6) of the Building Societies Act 1986, hereby make the following Order, a draft of which has been laid before and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament:
