# The Building Societies (Member States) Order 1992, Introduction: Introductory text


BUILDING SOCIETIES
Made 29th June 1992
Coming into force 1st July 1992
The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 14 of the Building Societies Act 1986 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order, a draft of which has been laid before and approved by each House of Parliament:
