# The Building Societies (Members' Requisitions) Order 1999, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the definition of a members' requisition in paragraph 20A(2) of Schedule 2 to the Building Societies Act 1986 by increasing to 500 the minimum number of a building society’s members needed to requisition a special meeting of the society.
