# The Building Societies (Prescribed Form of Receipt) Rules 1997, Article 2: Prescribed form of receipt


Each of the forms set out, with notes for completion, in Part I (execution under hand) and Part II (execution under seal) of the Schedule hereto shall be a prescribed form for the purposes of paragraph 1(1)(a) of Schedule 2A to the Building Societies Act 1986 (which contains supplementary provisions as to the discharge of mortgages).
