# The Car Tax (Amendment) Regulations 1989, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 11th August 1989
Laid before the House of Commons 18th August 1989
Coming into force 8th September 1989
The Commissioners of Customs and Excise, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 8(1) and 9 of, and paragraphs 5(1), and 12(i) of Schedule 1 to, the Car Tax Act 1983 and section 27(3) of the Finance Act 1989 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:
