  "text": "(1) A person who, without lawful authority or reasonable excuse—\n(a) operates any equipment or machinery forming part of the barrage or used in its construction, maintenance or alteration, or\n(b) otherwise interferes with the barrage or its operation,\nshall be guilty of an offence.\n(2) A person guilty of an offence under subsection (1) above shall be liable—\n(a) on summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum, and\n(b) on conviction on indictment, to a fine.",
