# The Care Quality Commission (Additional Functions) Amendment Regulations 2013, Introduction: Introductory text

The Secretary of State for Health makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 59(1), 161(3) and 167(3) of the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
