# Carriage by Air Act 1961, Section 6: Contributory negligence.

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

(1) It is hereby declared that for the purposes of the provisions mentioned in subsection (2) the Law Reform (Contributory Negligence) Act 1945 (including that Act as applied to Scotland), and section two of the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (Northern Ireland) 1948, are provisions of the law of the United Kingdom under which a court may exonerate the carrier wholly or partly from his liability.
(2) The provisions are—
(a) Article 21 of the Convention;
(b) Article 21 of the Convention as amended; and
(c) Article 20 of the Montreal Convention.
