Regulation 1 Title, commencement and application

These Regulations may be cited as the Cattle Database Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 28th September 1998.

These Regulations shall apply in relation to all cattle born on or after 28th September 1998.

In the case of cattle born before 28th September 1998 for which the appropriate Minister issues a cattle passport on or after that date containing movement cards, the duty under these Regulations to notify the movement and death of cattle shall apply in relation to those cattle as it applies to cattle born on or after that date.

These Regulations shall apply to Great Britain.
