# The Cattle Database Regulations 1998, Regulation 12: Powers to restrict movements


In accordance with the second paragraph of Article 21 of the Council Regulation, an officer of the appropriate Minister may serve a notice on a keeper of animals on a holding restricting the movement of cattle to or from the holding if he is satisfied that this is necessary for the proper enforcement of Article 7.1, second indent of that Regulation; and any person who fails to comply with that notice shall be guilty of an offence.
