  "text": "(1) For the purposes of Article 7(4) of Regulation (EC) No. 1760/2000 the period determined by the Scottish Ministers for which a register must be available is–\n(a) 10 years in the case of a farm; and\n(b) 3 years in any other case.\n(2) That period shall be calculated from the end of the calendar year in which the last entry was made in the register.\n(3) Any record made under the Bovine Animals (Records, Identification and Movement) Order 1995 shall be available for the times set out in sub paragraphs (1) and (2).\n(4) Failure to comply with this paragraph is an offence.",
