# The Cayman Islands Constitution Order 2009, Paragraph 59: Composition of the Legislature and power to make laws


(1) There shall be a Legislature of the Cayman Islands which shall consist of Her Majesty and a Legislative Assembly.
(2) Subject to this Constitution, the Legislature may make laws for the peace, order and good government of the Cayman Islands.
