# The Census Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020, Regulation 22: Safe custody of census electronic devices


(1) Any person who receives a census electronic device must ensure it is securely stored at all times when not in use, and used and stored in such a manner that would reasonably prevent any unauthorised person having access to the device.
(2) Any person who receives a census electronic device must act in accordance with directions issued by the Registrar General regarding when or to whom to return the device.
