# The Central Manchester Development Corporation (Area and Constitution) Order 1988, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order designates an area totalling about 180 hectares in the city of Manchester as an urban development area and establishes an urban development corporation to regenerate the area. The area is shown hatched black on the map forming part of this note.
The development corporation is to be called the Central Manchester Development Corporation, and have 8 members beside the chairman and deputy chairman
