RATING AND VALUATION, ENGLAND

The First Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 53(1), (2), (4), (4A) and (5), 64(3), 65(4) and 143(1) and (2) of the Local Government Finance Act 1988f1, makes the following Regulations:

These powers are devolved, in relation to Wales, to the National Assembly for Wales by the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/672): see the reference to the Local Government Finance Act 1988 in Schedule 1. In section 53, subsections (1) and (2) were amended, subsection (4) was substituted, and subsection (4A) was inserted by section 139 of, and paragraph 29(2), (3) and (4) of Schedule 5 to, the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (c. 42).
