Explanatory note

This Order amends the Channel Tunnel (International Arrangements) Order 1993. Article 2(2), (3) and (7) makes provision for a supplementary control zone to be established in respect of trains travelling between France and the United Kingdom at the station of Ebbsfleet International from 19th November 2007. Article 2(4) to (6) provides that there will be no supplementary control zone at the station of London-Waterloo in respect of trains travelling between France and the United Kingdom and prevents international provision in respect of control bureaux at that station having the force of law in the United Kingdom from 14th November 2007, from which date controls will instead be carried out at London-St Pancras.
