# The Charitable Incorporated Organisations (Conversion) Regulations 2017, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 8th December 2017
Coming into force 1st January 2018
The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 231(3), 234, 246 and 347(3) of the Charities Act 2011.
In accordance with section 348(4)(b) of that Act the Secretary of State has consulted such persons and bodies of persons as the Secretary of State considers appropriate.
