# The Cheese and Cream Regulations 1995, Regulation 9: Transitional provisions


In any proceedings for an offence against these Regulations it shall be a defence to prove that—
(a) the act was committed before 1st July 1997; and
(b) the matters constituting the offence would not have constituted an offence against the Regulations hereby revoked if those Regulations had been in operation when the act was committed.
