# Child Abduction Act 1984, Section 8: Penalties and prosecutions.

Extent: S

A person guilty of an offence under this Part of this Act shall be liable—
(a) on summary conviction, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum . . ., or both; or
(b) on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to a fine, or both.
