# The Child Benefit (General) Amendment Regulations 1987, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 16th March 1987
Coming into force 6th April 1987
The Secretary of State for Social Services, in exercise of powers conferred upon him by sections 2(1B), (2) and (3), 4(1), 22(1), 24(1), 24(5) and paragraph 1 of Schedule 1 to the Child Benefit Act 1975, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after reference to the Social Security Advisory Committee, hereby makes the following Regulations:—
