# The Child Resistant Packaging (Safety) (Amendment) Regulations 1993, Introduction: Introductory text


CONSUMER PROTECTION
Made 21st June 1993
Laid before Parliament 22nd June 1993
Coming into force 16th July 1993
The Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 11 of the Consumer Protection Act 1987 having consulted such organisations as appear to him to be representative of interests substantially affected by these Regulations, such other persons as he considers appropriate and the Health and Safety Commission, hereby makes the following Regulations:–
