# The Child Support (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2009, Introduction: Introductory text

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 14(1), 17(3) and (5), 28J(3), 50(1A) and (1C)(b), 51(2)(a), (b) and (f), 54 and 55(1)(c) of, and paragraph 5(a) of Schedule 1 to, the Child Support Act 1991 and section 57(2) of the Child Maintenance and Other Payments Act 2008 , makes the following Regulations:
