# The Childcare (Exemptions from Registration) Order 2008, Article 7: Exemption for open access childcare

Extent: E+W

(1) The circumstances referred to in articles 2(2) and 2(4) are where the provision is open access childcare.
(2) “Open access childcare” means childcare, other than childminding, under the arrangements for which a child, other than a young child, may leave the premises unaccompanied.
